The people of Afghanistan praise the recent efforts by the Islamic Emirate to help the release of Haji Bashir Noorzai from a US prison.

Noorzai, one of the senior members of the Islamic Emirate arrived in Kabul today after being released from an American prison.

A gathering was held to announce the release of Haji Bashir Noorzai, the IEA acting Minister of Foreign affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said he was released recently and arrived in Kabul the other day.

Also, speaking at the gathering here in Kabul on Monday, the newly released Haji Bashir Noorzai said that his exchange for the American citizen Mark Frerichs will help resolve problems between Afghanistan and the U.S.

Haji Noorzai, one of the key members of the Islamic Emirate spent nearly two decades in prison after being arrested in New York in 2005, as he was sentenced to life in prison by a U.S. court.

Dr. Mohammad Naeem, the Islamic Emirate political spokesman based in Qatar, also expressed pleasure over his release and said: “Honorable Haji Bashir Noorzai was released after two decades of imprisonment and arrived in Kabul today (Monday).”
This is a matter of pleasure that the last Afghan innocently detained by the U.S. is released and joined his family.

All Afghans are happy with the good news and praise the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan efforts towards the release of the last IEA member from the U.S. detention center.

Also, such move to release Afghans from other countries detention and helping them get rid of miseries in other countries, is the religious and legal responsibility of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) and in this way, the Islamic system should spare no effort for the tranquility of the Afghan nation.

On the other side, the U.S.’s recent move to welcome the IEA’s suggestion for the release of Haji Bashir Noorzai; either in exchange or under other legal plan would soften political relation between the two countries and cause development in other affairs between the two sides.

Afghanistan is an inseparable member of the international community, but any country has its own law and regulations, tradition and style of living and the other side has to respect them.

The Islamic Emirate is stepping up to implement Islamic sharia, under which, neither the Afghan nation nor the world are harmed, but feel comfort. So, other countries, particularly the U.S. which has been the key stakeholders in Afghanistan in the past, should go ahead with good policy and diplomatic relation with Afghanistan.

We, the Afghans, once again welcome the release of the last Afghan and IEA senior member and are eying good political relations between the IEA and the world.
