5 vehicles destroyed as convoy attacked in Farah

FARAH, Feb. 20 – At around 2:00 pm local time today, a hireling convoy came under a landmine blast and immediately followed by Mujahideen attacks in Bazar area of Farah Rod district.
Firefights of heavy and light arms lasted for about 40 minutes, during which a land cruiser, 3 reinforcement trucks and a ranger pickup were destroyed with 4 puppets killed as well as 5 others wounded.
Later on, enemy shelled villager compounds, causing serious casualties to civilians.
