5 police killed and wounded by sniper in Helmand

HELMAND, Jan. 01 – As many as 2 police were shot and killed after Mujahideen stormed a hireling check post in Takhta Pul area of Garamsir district overnight.

Meanwhile, a gunman was killed and another one seriously wounded after being sniped in Basharan area, PD4 of capital Lashkargah.

Likewise, another trooper has been shot and killed instantly by a sniper in Tori Shah area between Gerishk and Sangin districts earlier today.
