5 killed in country’s southeast

PAKTIA, Sept. 10 – An unknown number of the enemy soldiers reportedly suffered casualties in a gun battle with Mujahideen breaking out in Syed Karam district of Paktia province on Friday.

Also Friday, a puppet was killed and many others were wounded with a tank destroyed in a violent fighting in Ahmad Khel district of the province.

In the province’s Ahmad Abad district, two Arbakis were wounded in a bomb attack on Saturday.

Separately, 2 bomb disposal experts were killed when a bomb they were trying to defuse blew up at them in the provincial capital of Paktia province.

According to a report from neighboring Khost province, two puppets were killed and one wounded in blast in Sabri district of the province on Friday.
