BAGHLAN, Feb. 26 – Al-Emarah News said the enemy yet again attempted to carry out a ground operation backed by aerial support against Mujahideen in Pol-e-Khomri district of Baghlan province on Sunday which was counterattacked by Mujahideen, sparking off heavy fighting that went on for hours.

According to initial reports, 5 enemy soldiers including Zamarai, a commander were killed and many others were wounded.

Early Sunday, there were clashes between Mujahideen and enemy while Mujahideen purged the enemy from a large area, chasing them away with heavy losses.

In the meantime, Mujahideen combatants closed off the roads leading to Tala Barfak district of Baghlan province, to Bamyan, zeroing in on the enemy. More new updates are to follow…
