5 killed, 3 arrested as check post overrun in Uruzgan

URUZGAN, Aug. 15 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen launched coordinated attacks on 2 ANP check posts in Garam Ab area of Chinarto district overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light weapons, resulted in a check post overrun, killing 5 gunmen inside and arresting 3 others.
It is said that 4 rifles, 1 RPG launcher, 1 PKM, several ammo and other war toll were confiscated.
A Mujahid also embraced martyrdom in the operation (May Allah accept him).
