5 including commander killed and hurt as post overrun

HERAT, Jun. 21 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen carried out an assault on Haji check post in Dahna Zulfaqar area of Gulran district on Monday night, overrunning the post after killing commander Sadr-ul-ddin along with 2 others while leaving 2 others hurt and forcing the rest to flee.
2 Kalashnikovs, 2 rifles, 1 PK machine gun, 1 RPG launcher, 1 communication radio, 1 grenade and other war equipment were eized.
A Mujahid was also wounded in the cross fire.
