5 including commander killed, 4 others hurt as post overrun in Badghis

BADGHIS, Jun. 22 – Reports say, Mujahideen managed to overrun a hireling check post in Ghormach district overnight as a result of an intense firefight of Mujahideen, during which 5 police, including commander Safi Ahamd were killed and 4 others wounded while forcing the rest to flee leaving corpses behind on the battle ground.

Later on, gunfight erupted with enemy reinforcement troops arriving the scene, causing serious losses to them.

2 PKM machine guns, 4 rifles and other equipment have been recovered from the post.

A Mujahid fighter was also wounded in  the crossfire.
