KANDAHAR, Jun. 24 – Reports arriving from Shawalikot district of southern Kandahar province state that, Mujahideen carried out coordinated assaults on enemy check posts along Tarinot road in Sar Khobaib area overnight, amid ongoing Al Khandaq spring offensive.
Attacks of heavy and light arms, resulting in 5 check posts overrun after forcing the enemy to flee, killing 2 puppets and leaving a commander seriously wounded.
Meanwhile, a ranger pickup was destroyed amid a gunfight with enemy reinforcement troops that has just arrived the scene, causing the enemy further toll.
It must be mentioned that enemy has abandoned a check post in the said area due to fear of Mujahideen attacks of couple of days ago.
