5 check posts, 2 bases and police station overrun in Nawa

HELMAND, Aug. 09 – According to Al Emarah news, amid ongoing Omari annual campaign Mujahideen launched coordinated attack on various enemy installations in the surroundings of Nawa district yesterday.
Attacks in which heavy and light arms were used resulting in Momin Khan, Shin Thal bases, a police station in Fazal ud din Dorahi, 2 check posts in Shaglan Sarak area, 2 in Khawaja Baba and another post in Zarh Sab area of the said district were overrun, forcing the enemy to flee after suffering heavy casualties as well as leaving 14 corpses on the battle ground.
According to details 2 APCs, 2 ranger pickups, a reinforcement truck, 1 SPG -9 tube,1 medium range mortar, 1 82 – Artillery machine gun, 2 PKMs, 1 rifle, 2 pistols, a large number of ammo and other war equipment was confiscated.
All praise belong to Allah along as Mujahideen suffered no casualties in the operation.
