5 Arbakis killed, 3 taken prisoners in north; 2 posts overrun

JOWZJAN, Aug. 27 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate overran two of the enemy posts in Mardyan district of northern Jowzjan province on Saturday, taking 3 Arbakis captive.

Two Arbakis were killed and many wounded in the ensuing firefight, while Mujahideen captured from enemy various kinds of arms and ammo.

A Mujahid fighter is said to have been wounded in the fighting.

In another report, two Arbakis were killed and two Kalashnikovs were seized from the enemy in Qushtifa district of Jowzjan province.

Separately, an Arbaki surrendered in Qushtifa district of Jowzjan province on Friday, handing over to Mujahideen a vehicle and 3 Kalashnikov rifles, where 1 Arbaki joined Mujahideen with his gun in the provincial capital of Jowzjan province on the same day.
