KABUL, Oct. 29 – The committee appointed under the chairmanship of Alhaji Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Minister of Economy, was given the task to take necessary measures to control the price of fuel in Kabul during the coming winter.

According to the decision of the said committee, 400,000 tons of coal will be made available in the four selling points of Kabul city and will be given to the citizens at 9,000 AFN per ton.

The monitoring of coal price and distribution in the market is carried out by Kabul Municipality.

Also, special precautions have been taken by the appointed committee in coordination with the private sector and the state gas and oil company in order to control the price of liquid gas and have a precautionary reserve.
