40 held on various charges across the nation

KABUL, Feb. 17- As per the ministry of interior a total of 40 suspects have been apprehended in eight different provinces of the country for engaging in various unlawful activities such as theft, harassment, gambling, possession of illegal weapons, drug use, and fleeing from home.

Among the arrests, the Police successfully apprehended eight individuals involved in robbery, gambling, and running away from home. Additionally, four individuals were detained for carrying illegal firearms. In Herat, five professional armed robbers were held along with the recovery of two stolen cars and eight mobile phones.

In Takhar, five criminals were arrested, while two individuals were taken into custody for theft in Ghazni. A group of four professional thieves was arrested in Parwan, and two individuals were detained for running away from home in Sari Pul.

Furthermore, one person was arrested in Samangan, and nine others were apprehended in Kunduz province, for various criminal offenses in last week.
