3400 Families Receive Food Aid in Logar

KABUL, Dec. 15 – 3,400 needy families have received food aid in 2 district of Logar province said local officials of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of Logar.

Sibghatullah Naib Khel, told Bakhter News Agency the food aid is provided by World Food Program (WFP) for 3400 needy and deserving families in Charkh and Khushi districts with coordination and cooperation of the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.

Meanwhile local officials of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of Jawzjan say that they have commissioned an agricultural irrigation canal with a length of 835 meters in Ali Abad village of Faiz Abad District.

The canal has been built at a cost of over 12 million AFN and is able to irrigate more than 800 hectares of farmland.

In another report Local officials of Balkh province have distributed chemical fertilizers and 106 tons of food in Kaldar district of this province.
