300 refugees and needy families receive cash assistance in Farah

FARAH, Nov. 14 –  Haji Mullah Mohammad Yousaf Akhund, Director of Farah Department of Refugee Affairs has distributed cash assistance of $265 to 300 needy families today.

Haji Mullah Mohammad Yusuf Akhund, Director, Department of Refugee Affairs, Farah Province, said while distributing the aid; “Today’s aid is for families who have been displaced by war and drought in the past as well as in the recent past,” he added. We are planning to provide more assistance to the people in the future, insha’Allah, which we will soon see distributed and given to the deserving people, he said.

He called on other local and international charities and foundations to provide assistance and cooperation to those affected by the severe drought in the province.

It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, similar assistance was provided to many other needy families in the province at different times.
