30 killed and wounded, 4 tanks destroyed as key post overrun in Farah

FARAH, Dec. 03 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahedeen conducted an assault on a strategic enemy check post located in Shawalgah region’s Sultan Muhammad Khan Kala area of Farah city overnight.
Gunfight intensified when enemy reinforcement arrived to the area and lasted for about 2 and half hours, resulting in the post overrun forcing the enemy to flee leaving 16 corpses including dead body of a commander as well as 5 PKM machine guns, 10 rifles, 2 RPG launchers and a sizable amount of other ammunition seized.
As many as 3 enemy tanks were completely destroyed and another one damaged, leaving 15 gunmen killed or hurt inside.
A Mujahid was also reportedly wounded in the operation.
