Abdul Karim Hasib, the head of the passport department of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has made an announcement regarding the opening of three additional passport distribution branches in Kabul.

Hasib further stated that these new passport distribution centers are situated in the Dar-ul-Aman, Qala-e-Zaman Khan, and Tangi Tarakhel areas. Each branch is equipped to serve up to 2,000 applicants daily, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of passport services.

Highlighting the magnitude of the operation, Hasib mentioned that a remarkable 12,000 passports are being distributed across Afghanistan every day. This figure represents an unprecedented milestone in the history of the country.

According to the department’s records, approximately 2 million passports were issued to Afghan citizens last year alone. This significant number underscores the high demand for passports and the importance of facilitating smooth and accessible passport services for the Afghan population.
