3 killed, 2 injured in eastern Afghanistan

KUNAR, Sept. 6 – A puppet was killed when he was shot and killed outside a check point in Surkani district of Kunar province on Monday.

A ranger vehicle was destroyed later when Mujahideen attacked the enemy post. It is unclear how many were killed or wounded in the ensuing firefight.

In another report, 2 Arbakis were wounded in a surprise attack in Marawara district of the province last night.

In a report from neighboring Nuristan province, two Arbakis commanders, Ishaq and Khalillullah who were brothers of the district governor were killed in Mujahideen attack in Bargamtal district of the province on Monday.
