3 check posts overrun in Kandahar, 3 killed

KANDAHAR, Feb. 20 – According to a recent report from Shawalikot district, Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks on enemy check posts located along Tarinkot road in Sar Khobaib area overnight amid ongoing ‘Omari’ annual campaign.
According to details, attacks of heavy and light arms, resulting in 3 police check points overrun after a brief resistance, forcing the enemy to flee leaving 3 corpses behind on the battle ground.
A Mujahid is said to have been wounded while another one has embraced martyrdom during the operation.
It must be mentioned that some 3 days ago enemy has fled and abandoned 2 check posts in the said area due to fear of Mujahideen attacks.
