HELMAND, Aug. 20 – According to latest report from Gerishk district, a heavy gunfight erupted when combined enemy troops of ANA and ANP escorted by armored tanks, APCs and ranger pickups arrived to Nahr Siraj region’s Khoshkawi area for reopening the Kandahar-Laskhargah rout. During gunfight an APC was destroyed by heavy artillery fire and 2 others by roadside bomb blasts, leaving all gunmen killed or hurt and ultimately forcing the enemy to retreat.
