3 APCs destroyed, 14 killed or hurt as 3 offensives repelled in Nahr Siraj

HELMAND, Aug. 21 – At around 2:00 pm this noon, enemy troops of ANA and ANP carried out 3 offensives from Dorahi side for reopening the Lashkargah rout. They faced tough resistance of Mujahideen at Wazir Manda area, Nahr Siraj region of Gerihsk district erupting heavy clashes that continued till afternoon hours, during which 2 APCs were destroyed by RPG fire and another one by IED blast, leaving 14 puppets killed or hurt and forcing others to flee.
It is worth mentioning that earlier today enemy also conducted an offensive for unblocking the Lashkargah road, during which an armored tank and an APC were destroyed, 9 gunmen were killed or hurt and others shamelessly retreated.
The Kandahar-Laskhargah highway still remains entirely blocked and under the control of Mujahideen.
