LAGHMAN, Mar. 2 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate launched a series of attacks targeting the enemy military installations in eastern Laghman province and seized 6 combat posts during deadliest fighting in which as many as 29 were killed and an additional 22 suffered wounds, according to Al-Emarah News reports.

In one operation that lasted throughout Wednesday, continuing into late night hours and into early Thursday morning Mujahideen seized a joint combat post belonging to combined police and local militia on the outskirts of Mehtarlam city, the provincial capital of Laghman province, leaving 6 policemen including 2 Arbaki lapdogs killed with wounding 5 others, while a Mujahid fighter embraced martyrdom with 3 others sustaining injuries, it said.

Also Wednesday, two tanks were destroyed as the enemy taskforce of military vehicles and tanks was taken by surprise in the limits of Mehtarlam city along the road leading to Alingar district of this province. The casualty toll has not been determined yet, it further said.

Moreover, as many as 23 joint enemy security personnel were killed and a further 17 were wounded in a daylong fighting yesterday in which Mujahideen took over 5 posts belonging to local militias and police located in the limits of Mehtarlam city, the capital of Laghman province.

Similarly, Mujahideen destroyed 7 tanks took 6 puppets prisoners, seizing from the enemy possession 4 Kalashnikov rifles with 3 boxes filled with its bullets, 4 PK, heavy antitank machine guns, 1 M4 rifle, 1 hand grenade, 15 boxes filled with the PK bullets, 11 rocket rounds and a good deal of other ammo and military stuff.

Separately, Mujahideen shelled the army corps in Qarghayi district of Laghman province late yesterday. There is, however, no information on the enemy losses.
