TAKHAR, Aug. 22 – Al-Emarah News said Monday the Islamic Emirate combatants stormed the entire military installations and the district center in Khawaja Ghar district of northern Takhar province last night that triggered a nightlong fighting, leading to the death of over 13 enemy personnel including soldiers of ANA, police and Arbakis and dozens of the enemy soldiers suffered injuries, while Mujahideen took 4 minions prisoners.

It adds all the military installations around district center including district headquarters were seized in the overnight operation in which 5 main battle armored personnel carriers were and 8 armored fighting vehicles were destroyed.

The fighting continued into the morning hours of Monday and went on till later morning in which a Mujahid fighter, too, embraced martyrdom.

Later, a battalion of the reinforcement led by Noor Mohammad, the provincial capital attempted to regain the district and the military installations taken over by Mujahideen and the fighting raged yet again, resulting in killing a further 17 puppets including 2 nephews of the governor. The enemy was, once again, forced to retreat with fatal losses.

Sadly, tens of the civilians including children, women and men suffered casualties and a number of the homes, shops and public places were flattened during the US invaders aerial attacks.

The US invaders conducted heavy airstrikes and ground operations targeting the public places and defenseless civilians after Mujahideen takeover of the Khawaja Ghar district and its military installations.
