KUNDUZ, June 9 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate seized 6 of the enemy combat posts in a nightlong operation in Qala-e-Zal district of northern Kunduz province.

At least 25 Arbakis were killed in the fighting started last night and continued into morning hours of Saturday. Three commanders were among those killed in yesterday’s night operation.

Similarly, Mujahideen seized from the enemy 13 Kalashnikov rifles, 2 PK heavy machine guns, 1 RPG rocket, 2 mortar cannons, 3 night vision binoculars and 7 motorcycles, while 2 motorcycles and a vehicle were destroyed in the fighting.

Early today, two puppets were killed and 1 injured when Mujahideen attacked roadside checkpoint along Kunduz-Khanabad highway in the limits of Khanabad district of Kunduz province.

According to reports from neighboring Baghlan province, 2 Arbakis were killed and 4 more were wounded in clashes with Mujahideen in Nahrin district of Baghlan province on Friday, while an Arbaki was killed in a sniper attack in Guzrgah district of this province on Saturday.

Separately, 2 civilians were martyred and 5 more suffered injuries when the enemy slammed their tank into a civilian vehicle in the said distict a few days ago.
