BADAKHSAN, May 5 – Al-Emarah said as many as 26 commandos of the enemy force were killed in the deadliest fighting between Mujahideen and the joint enemy personnel taking place in Ishkashim district of Northern Province of Badakhshan.

A large number of the joint enemy personnel also suffered injuries in the yesterday night’s fighting that killed over 26 commandos.

Mujahideen captured from enemy 1 vehicle, 4 M4 rifles, 8 laser range-finding binoculars with a great deal of ammunition and other military equipment.

Four Mujahideen fighters are said to have embraced martyrdom and three more sustained wounds.

According to fresh reports from Northern Province of Kunduz, Mujahideen succeeded in taking over most of Qila-i-Zal district including the district bazaar. Heavy fighting is said to be underway with Mujahideen closing in on the district center.

In reports from Kunduz city, heavy fighting is in progress along the highway between Kunduz city and Khanabad with Mujahideen taking the enemy posts and bases under heavy attacks.

A large number of the enemy personnel suffered casualties and 4 of the enemy’s tanks were destroyed in the fighting, while Mujahideen are advancing on Khanabad district.
