25 killed, 4 APCs destroyed as check post overrun in Nimroz

NIMROZ, Mar. 12 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen carried out attacks of heavy and light arms on a hireling check post in Haji Wazir Killi area of Delaram district last night.

Attack that continued for about 3 hours, resulting in the post overrun after killing 25 puppets and destroying 2 APCs.

Late on, gunfight erupted against enemy reinforcement troops arriving the scene, during which 2 more APCs destroyed, inflecting serious toll to enemy.

According to details, 2 RPG launchers, 2 PKM machine guns, 1 rifles and scores of other ammunitions were confiscated from the post.

It must be mentioned that another key check post was also overrun after killing 10 puppets in Khash Rod district of the province overnight.
