 KUNDUZ, May 8 – Al Emarah says as many 25 enemy joint personnel including commander Niyaz have been killed in the deadliest fighting over the past 4 days along the road between Kunduz city and Khanabad district, while 11 tanks have been destroyed.

Two enemy soldiers were also taken prisoners in the fighting, whereas Mujahideen seized a good deal of arms and ammo with 2 armored tanks form the enemy’s possession.

Similarly, there is intense fighting in the limits of Kunduz city close to the eastern entrance to the city of Kunduz. A Mujahid is said to have been wounded in the fighting.

Mujahideen seized a combat post with a strategic location along the highway.

Reports coming in of the fighting suggest Mujahideen laid siege to a major base in the area and the road leading to Khanabad is under Mujahideen control.

Separately, a policeman was killed in a surprise attack in Imam Sahib district on Sunday.
