24 killed, 6 APCs destroyed as police station and check post overrun in Nad Ali

HELMAND, Aug. 03 – Officials say Mujahideen attacked Loy Bagh police station and Chanjir check post in the surroundings of Nad Ali district overnight.
Attack of heavy and light weapons resulting in both check post and base were overrun after a brief resistance, killing 12 minions inside and forcing the rest to flee leaving 4 corpses on the battle ground as well as seizing a sizable amount of war equipment.
It is said that road to district administration has been blocked while heavy clashes around Chanjir Bazar area are underway, so far 6 enemy APCs have been destroyed by rocket launcher and 82 artillery fire, killing and wounding 14 gunmen.
