23 killed, equipment seized as 2 posts overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, May. 22 – A strategic boarder troops check post in Badi Karez area of Shorabak district came under a Mujahideen attack last night.
Attack of heavy and light arms, resulting in the post was overrun after forcing the enemy to flee leaving 15 corpses, 1 ranger pickup,3 PKM machine guns, 2 RPG launchers, 5 rifles, 1 communication radio, 1600 PKM rounds, 25 RPG rounds and other tools brined.
It is said that a Mujahid was also hurt during the operation.
Meanwhile, Mujahideen assaulted a hireling check post in Dab Khakrez area of Khakrez district, overrunning the post after killing 8 puppets and forcing the rest to flee. A vehicle was also destroyed.
According to details, 1 RPG launcher, 1 PKM machine gun, 8 rifles 2 communication radios, 6 RPG rounds and other military equipment have been confiscated.
