KANDAHAR, Aug. 25 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Masnouri’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks on a hireling base and surroundings check posts in Sheir Jan Killi area of Shawalikot district last night.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till midnight hours, overrunning the base and 2 check posts completely, killing 23 puppets with corpses left behind and arresting 10 others.
A ranger was destroyed while 1 Dshk gun, 1 mortar tube, 3 PKM machine guns, 2 RPG launchers, 10 rifles, 4 Kalashnikovs and a sizable amount of other martials have been recovered.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been martyred during the operation.
