PAKTIA, May 14 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate clear a huge area of land of the local militia in the limits of Gardiz city, the provincial capital of Paktia province last night, flushing out the Arbakis from a large village, a according to reports from Paktia.

Al-Emarah reporter said at least 6 Arbakis along with a commander were killed the two-hour long fighting last night following Mujahideen attack on the post belonging to local militia and chased the Arbakis away from a huge area of land.

Mujahideen, meantime, captured form the Arbakis vehicles, motorbikes and a great deal of arms and ammo in last night’s attack.

A number of the vehicles and motorbikes seized or looted by Arbakis were turned over to their owners.

On Saturday, at least 6 puppets were killed and 4 more suffered wounds in a gunfight with Mujahideen following a surprise attack in  Girda Chiri district of Paktia province.

On Sunday, a powerful blast hit a vehicle carrying the Raies-e-Arkan (chief of staff) and police in Zazi Aryub district of Paktia province, killing the chief of staff himself who was the primary target and 8 other policemen while wounding one.
