KUNDUZ, Aug. 17 – Al-Emarah News says Kunduz operation started early this morning is still in progress with Mujahideen advancing on the enemy.

According to details, Mujahideen zeroed in on the enemy from two directions in Kunduz city, the provincial capital of northern Kunduz province leading to blockade of the main road extending from provincial capital to three districts, Imam Sahib, Qal-i-Zal and Dasht-e-Archi.

4 enemy soldiers have been killed and 5 others wounded with 3 tanks destroyed so far.

Similarly, Mujahideen closed off the road between Khanabad district and Takhar province in the clashes breaking out between Mujahideen and the enemy in Khanabad district of Kunduz province in which 3 puppets were killed and 4 more wounded, where the enemy installations are under Mujahideen tight siege at the moment.

Furthermore, 10 puppets have so far been killed and 12 more wounded with 2 vehicles and an armored tank destroyed in the operation Mujahideen fighters launched in Char Darah district of Kunduz province.

Two Mujahideen combatants are reported to have been martyred and another two wounded in the entire operation.

Separately, 12 puppets including a commander were wounded and a tank destroyed in Imam Sahib district on Tuesday.

Likewise, 4 commandos were killed and 7 wounded elsewhere in Imam Sahib on Tuesday.
