FARAH, Oct. 07 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, heroic Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate launched coordinated attacks on a hireling base and 1 check post in Naw Bahar area overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till early this morning, resulting in the said base completely overrun, forcing the enemy to flee while leaving 17 corpses on the battle ground and 4 puppets killed in the other check posts.
5 PKM machine guns, 5 rifles, 1 RPG launcher, a large number of ammo and other war equipment was seized in the operation.
Meanwhile Mujahideen engaged reinforcement convoy approaching the scene, destroying 2 tanks, killing and wounding all gunmen abroad.
A Mujahid is said to have been wounded in the operation.
