21 held on charges of drug dealing, trafficking

KABUL, Jan. 04 – The Interior Ministry, reported arresting 21 people across the country on charge of drug dealing, trafficking and using alcoholic beverages.

Anti-narcotics police arrested twenty-one people in connection with cases of drug trafficking and alcohol use during separate operations in Nangarhar, Sar-i-pl, Kapisa, Takhar, Badakhshan, Khost and Nimroz provinces said the Ministry of Interior in a statement on Wednesday.

Accordimg to statement 7 suspect were involved smuggling of 92kg of hashish and 7kg of Shisha, and one with a car stealing and 35kg of opium in Jalalabad city, and 6 people were involved in the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

The Ministry statement further adds that 2 people were arrested from Kapisa and Takhar, two from Badakhshan, one from Khost, and two others were arrested on charge with drug trafficking in Nimroz.
