NANGARHAR, Jun. 9 – Honey production went up by 40% in Nangarhar province, said Riaz Mohammad Rowdwal, the Beekeepers Association President. He added there had been an increase of 200 tons over the last few months. Last year the honey production was 500 tons, rising to 700 tons this year.

PAKTIA, June. 09 – The General Directorate of Intelligence operatives of have discovered and recovered a number of weapons and ammunition in Gardez, the capital of Paktia province that had been smuggled in from neighboring Pakistan and placed in a tanker truck. The seized items included 2 Kalashnikov rifles, 13 pistols and some other ammunition.
