20 killed and wounded as 2 posts overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, May. 25 – Officials say, Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate managed to overrun a hireling post named ‘ Kala Post’ in Salsun area of Maruf district, after an intense gunfight of heavy and light arms and sniper guns overnight, destroying an APC and forcing the enemy to flee leaving 13 corpses behind.
A ranger pickup, 3 motorbikes, 1 Dshk, 10 rifles, 2 pistols, 2 communication radios, 2 binoculars, 5 mobile phones, 10000 rifle rounds, 500 Dshk rounds, 47 magazines and other military tools have been seized in the operation.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded and another one has embraced martyrdom.
Similarly, Mujahideen attacked police check posts along Tarinkot road in Sarkhobaib area of Shawalikot district last midnight, overrunning a post, killing 3 puppets and leaving 4 others wounded.
3 motorbikes, 1 heavy machine gun, 1 binocular and other equipment were confiscated while Mujahideen suffered no casualties with grace of almighty Allah.
This comes after Mujahideen have overrun a key enemy base in Jogram area of Maiwand district overnight after killing 34 puppets and seizing a sizable amount of war tools.
