20 killed, 25 hurt in Paktia operations 

PAKTIA, July 31 – At least 17 puppets have been killed and an additional 21 suffered wounds in the intense fighting ongoing in southeastern Paktia province, according to Al-Emarah News reports.

The fighting erupted in Jani Khel district of Paktia province at predawn today in which 11 puppets were killed and a further 14 suffered injuries.

Mujahideen seized 3 posts, capturing from the enemy 1 PK heavy machine gun, 1 Kalashnikov and ammo in today’s operation, whereas 3 Mujahideen also suffered injuries in the operation.

Later, a further 6 puppets were killed and 7 more were wounded in the said district, while heavy fighting is in progress.

In a report from the neighboring Paktika province, 1 policeman was killed and 3 more were wounded in a clash with Mujahideen in the provincial capital of Paktia province on Sunday.

In another report, 2 Arbakis were killed in a roadside bomb attack in Sarhowza district of this province on Sunday.
