BAGHLAN, Jen. 10 – The construction work of 2 water networks completed and  inaugurated by local officials in Markazi Baghlan district of the province.

Naseer Ahmad Taheri, the head of press affairs of Baghlan Rural and Development Department, says that these two water networks are located in the Lower Timorian and Haji Naeem areas of Markazi Baghlan district, and was built and benefited by Aktid organization in cooperation with the Department of Villages and Development at a financial cost of 6,000,223 AFN from the Afghanistan People’s Fund or AHF.

Tahiri added that these two networks have a length of 4061 meters, the concrete reservoirs are 40,000 liters and 20,000 liters, and the wells are 120 and 90 meters deep respectively.

In these projects, 120 general and house-to-house connections have been installed for water distribution and 34 solar panels have been installed, with which 450 families have gained access to clean drinking water.
