BAMYAN, Nov. 01 – Two irrigation canals have been completed and commissioned in bamyan province.

The projects have been built with financial assistance of “UNDP” and the cooperation of the islamic relief organization.

Karamuddin Barfaki, head of the Islamic Relief organization says these projects will irrigate hundreds of acres of farmland.

Another report says that the work of cleaning an irrigation canal and building a potable water reservoir in Akakhil village of khanabad district of kunduz started with the financial assistance of a Germans aid organization.

These projects will provide drinkable water to over 450 families, and more than 600 residents have been provided with job opportunities, said local officials of the province.
