HELMAND, Mar. 19 – Mujahideen assaulted an enemy checkpoint close to Gerishk district’s Bazar area overnight, overrunning the post after killing 2 police and forcing the rest to flee while seizing a rifle, 1 pistol and other equipment.
Separately, a hireling armored tank was blown apart by a roadside bomb blast in Yakhchal area, Nahr Siraj region of the said district, killing and wounding all gunmen abroad.
Furthermore, 3 enemy check posts guards were shot and killed by sniper fire in the said area overnight.
