FARYAB, Dec. 19 – An enemy convoy passing through Shireen Tagab district’s Faizabad desert at 11:00 am yesterday was targeted by twin blasts followed by armed attacks until 05:00 pm local time.
Initial reports suggest that 2 APCs were destroyed in the attacks while 5 gunmen were killed and 13 others including Dawlatabad district police chief Naimat Toofan and 4 other enemy commanders wounded.
Officials say that a Mujahid was also injured by enemy fire.
