2 APCs destroyed in Nahr Siraj, highway still remains blocked

HELMAND, Aug. 16 – Reports arriving from Gerishk district say that capital Lashkargah – Kandahar highway still blocked off in Yaklang and Shindak Manda areas of Nahr Siraj region.
According to details Mujahideen strongly resisted enemy offensive to reopen the rout afternoon hours on Monday.
Gunfight that lasted till late night hours, during which 2 APCs were shred into pieces by landmine attacks as well as a patrol came under an IED attack, resulting in serious casualties to enemy however the exact death and injury toll is unknown yet.
