At the First International Conference on Afghanistan’s Self-Reliance Green Revolution, IEA Spokesperson Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid highlighted the dual nature of agriculture, comprising theoretical and practical components.

He emphasized the potential for a successful agricultural revolution with the guidance of experts, stressing the need for progressive changes in the traditional methods of agriculture.

Mujahid underscored the pivotal role of universities in shaping public perspectives and advocated for the expansion of such conferences nationwide.

 

During the conference, Acting Minister of Higher Education Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Nida Mohammad Nadeem discussed the historical challenges faced by Afghanistan’s agricultural sector due to past conflicts and ongoing efforts to revitalize this essential domain.

 

Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, the Deputy Minister of Education at the Ministry of Higher Education, highlighted the broader significance of agriculture beyond its immediate scope, emphasizing how academic gatherings like this conference can set priorities and steer discussions toward fulfilling research objectives and societal needs.

He stressed the importance of continuing such dialogues to address fundamental aspects of life intertwined with agriculture.
