19 killed, 25 arrested as 10 posts overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Mar. 05 – Amid full sewing of ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen attacked Naish district’s central defensive check posts from three sides – Deharawod Tangi, Kotal Faj and Dara Noor sides – overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms are said to be still underway with intensity, so far 10 enemy outposts have been overrun, killing 19 puppets on the spot while arresting 25 others including key enemy commanders.
Additionally, 2 ranger pickups, 1 APC, a number of heavy and light arms and other war equipment have been confiscated.
Currently the district administration center and commander Nayazo’s compound is under heavy attacks and tight besiege of Mujahideen.
A Mujahid fighter is said to has been wounded and 2 others have embraced martyrdom in the operation (May Allah accept them).
