19 killed,11 others wounded as convoy repelled in Marghab

BADGHIS, Aug. 30 – According to a recent report arriving from Marghab district of Badghis province, at 6:00 am early morning today heavy clashes erupted against ANA, ASF and ANP troops arriving Akazo area of the said district for an operation.
Gunfight of heavy and light arms lasted till afternoon hours, resulting in 19 police and commandos have been killed with 4 corpses left behind, 11 further wounded and a gunman arrested which is under medical treatment.
According to details, 4 PK machine guns, 3 rifles, 1 pistol, 5 night goggles, 4 binoculars and other war tools have been seized.
It is said that a Mujhid suffered injuries and 2 others have embraced martyrdom during the operation.
