PAKTIA, Apr. 13 – Mujahideen combatants seized control of a military unit following a firefight that killed 3 enemy soldiers and left many more wounded in Gardiz city, the capital of Paktia province last night.

Later, a roadside bomb blast targeted an enemy tank elsewhere in Gardiz city, killing 5 puppets aboard it.

In another report, at least 8 joint enemy soldiers were killed and dozens more were wounded following Mujahideen attacks on the enemy military posts in Zurmat district of Paktia province on Friday night.  A Mujahid fighter was martyred with another one wounded in the exchange of fire.

In a report from neighboring Paktika province, 2 puppets were killed when a landmine blast detonated under an enemy tank in Sarhowza district of the province on Thursday.
