18 arrested as over 1000 Kg of drugs seized in Helmand

In the previous week, the anti-narcotics police in Helmand province conducted a successful operation, resulting in the seizure of various illicit substances and related materials.

The confiscated items included 52 kg of illegal narcotics, 11 different chemicals, 350 liters of diesel, three tons of a plant used in drug production, 90 kg of Axel chemicals, and 200 kg of baking soda.

Additionally, 260 liters of acid and 70 kg of various chemicals were disposed. As a result of the operation, 18 individuals were apprehended in connection with these illegal activities.

Furthermore, the Helmand police have taken action to address drug addiction in the region. In the past seven days, they have identified and collected 74 individuals struggling with addiction, providing them with necessary care and admitting them to health centers for treatment.
