16 killed as military base overrun in Herat, equipment seized

HERAT, June. 21 – A recent report arriving from Pashtun Zarghon district states that amid ongoing spring offensive ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out an attack on a key Arbaki base in Ab Germak area early this morning.
Attacks in which heavy and light arms were used continued intensely till afternoon hours, resulting in the base overrun killing 16 puppets inside and forcing others to flee leaving behind corpses on the battle ground.
More than 20 rifles, 3 RPG launchers, 6 motorbikes and other war equipment was recovered from the base.
Enemy claims about martyring 6 Muajhideen are baseless, by such claims they seek to boost the morale of their troops. Only 3 Mujahideen have been martyred in the operation.
