16 held on charges of selling, trafficking drugs

KABUL, Aug. 29 -According to report as many as 16 suspects have been arrested by the anti-narcotics police.

Details say 4 suspects held in Kabul, 3 in Nimroz, 3 in Laghman with 34 kg of drugs and 550,000 Pakistani rupees and 2 people with 34 kg of drugs.

Furthermore, a person was arrested in Nangarhar with 9 kg of drugs, one person with 33 kg of drugs in Herat and one person with 5 kg of drugs in Kandahar.

In addition, these officials have destroyed drug fields in Maidan Wardag province and destroyed three acres of poppy cultivation in Chinarto and Chora districts of Uruzgan province.
