FARAH, Jun. 20 – Amid ongoing ‘Al Khandaq Operations’, Mujahideen carried out attacks on ANP check posts in Cholar area of Joyan district last night, overrunning a post after killing 7 police and forcing the rest to flee, leaving 1 RPG launcher, 1 Dshk gun, 6 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 PKM machine gun and other equipment behind.

In another report, a key ANP check post in Bazar area of Farah Rod district was overrun by Mujahideen following an intense gunfight of heavy and light arms that lasted for about 2 hours, killing 8 police personnel, including a hireling commander while arresting another one.

Details say, enemy has fled and abandoned 2 more check posts in Kanj and Bazar areas of the said district last night.

Later on, enemy heavily bombarded the area, causing serious losses to civilians.

3 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded in the operation.
